UiOs Women's work in North India was started 5 years ago and is built on a prophetic word that the revival will come as a response to the cries and tears from the women of North India. Our first step was a small leadership conference for YWAM women, and since the work of North India has grown steadily. From the annual Women's conference in Delhi, we have seen several regional women's conferences growing forward, many new prayer groups and local network groups being established, small relief projects being started up and more.
Where are we going???
God desires unity, truth and closeness between women in North India, both among Christians and not Christians. We as leadership have started with ourselves, and want to be both a prophetic voice and a model for what God wants to do through this work. As a work we have come up with the following description of our vision:
"To equip, train, arrange for, and redeem women in their God-given gifts, to see societies be influenced and changed to a reflection of Christ through the love of God."
We now host every year in February a 3-4 day conference, where we mainly collect women who work at UiO North India. We gather together to fellowship, share experiences, teaching, prayer, and praise. The women come with great thirst and anticipation to the Lord, and we can see how much impact the annual conference has on them and their families.
We who are in the Main Committee train a management team of women from different locations, which serves as local contact persons for the work. Their main task is to inspire the local network groups, work for unity among women and much more. They are given training in conducting meetings, teaching, planning conferences etc., and it has been a great joy for us to see many of them take responsibility for and embrace the vision For women's work in North India.
1 2010 We are going to hold 3 mini conferences in central cities of North India. In July, conferences are held in Kashmir and Varanasi, and in September in Delhi.
Over the next 2 years, we want to start 10 new network groups, several microfinance projects to give needy women a living, and not least start the work of mercy aimed at women and children.
As far as we know, there are no other women's work at UiO Southeast Asia, and we want to inspire and encourage others to start similar women's work throughout this part of the world.

As a new woman's work, we face many challenges, and we'd be very much appreciated if you would stand with us in prayer for this important work in North India. The following are some prayer topics:
– Ask for wisdom and insight for the Main Committee consisting of Nitu, Victoria, Yoya and Lone, and the management team that is Shashi, Ester, Basanti, Alice and Poonam.
– Pray for our mini-conferences in July and September 2010.
– Ask women in Ywam and other organisations wholeheartedly to embrace the vision of the work among women in North India.
– Request protection and further growth for all our small bean and network groups here in the north of India.
– Ask for open doors to reach out to women who don't know Jesus yet.
– Pray that we be of inspiration to other women in southeast Asia.
