The Bible says a lot about deserts and dry lands. I wonder what would happen to us during a summer vacation if we don't take care of our daily relationship with our Daddy God, with Jesus our Savior and friend?

We have just started the period of midnight sun in the north. Here in Bodø it lasts about 6 weeks. During this period, the sun never sets. You can see her around the clock, and she brings some beautiful colors with her some evenings. She can hide behind some mountains, but if you have the open sea to the west in front of you, you can see her all night. It's hard to go to bed then!

Did you know that Ascension Day was celebrated long before they started celebrating the birth of Jesus? This day was seen as an important turning point in the story of Jesus as the Son of God.

I received a text message late one Saturday night recently. It was from my landlord. A picture of one of my tires, which was quite flat, and a text: "I think you have a flat on your right front tire. It's low on air."

It wasn't as easy to be Jesus anymore, and meet individuals the way he really wanted to. Not when the headlines got so big. "Everyone" wanted to deal with him. He became even more dependent on retreating to pray.
