Then we are in a new period of shutdown, again we have to think about what is best for "we" and not just for "me."  It becomes apparent that we depend on each other to be able to live well together. When we have to keep our distance from each other, it is good to know that God is in us and he never pauses or time-out.

When we are forced to do less we get more time to just be, which I think God in a special way wants to make us land well in. Our value in God's eyes consists of being, while we live in a society that tells us that our value is weighed in relation to what we do.  This creates a huge gap in our understanding and can give us stress in terms of who we are.

We are unique in God's eyes, made into fellowship with Him. We convey Jesus where we are in everyday life, regardless of the type of job or study we spend our time on. To say yes to Jesus is to say yes to a lifelong fellowship with God within us! He is with all days and all kinds of days, in all our feelings, or not feelings, because he lives in us. Let's take a look at how David did this.

In psalm 62, David says:

It is only my hope to God that causes my soul to fall to rest. From Him comes my salvation. He alone is my rock and my rescue. He's my safety, that's why I'm not going to waver. (verses 1-3)

Hope for God, my soul, and fall to rest. Be quiet, my soul, for from Him comes my hope. Only He is my firm foundation and my salvation. He's my safety, that's why I'm going to stand firm. My salvation and my glory I receive with God. He is my strong foundation and my great protector. Always trust Him! Pour out what you have on your heart, for Him. God is our protector. (verses 6–10)

David speaks to his soul about falling to rest, he reminds himself of who God is and pours out what he has in his heart before God. This is a good recipe for working out to get quiet on the inside. When you choose to sit down in silence with Jesus, then you can speak to your soul to fall to rest, pour out all that lies on your heart and in your mind to God and proclaim out His truth; that he is your strong foundation and your great protector, that he is your rock, your rescue and your safety.  Give these God's truths time to draw into your thoughts and your spirit. Ask the Holy Spirit for help in these truths and let Him shine a light on what you need right now.

Prayer is not about lots of words and about all we must remember to pray for, but prayer is about living where God lives, rest where He rests. Prayer is to dwell in God's presence.

Let the silence around you give your heart time to be in His presence. Let Him touch your thoughts and your spirits with his love declarations to you and let His truths grow in your heart and mind.  Whether you know His presence or not is not the most important thing, but that you are at your disposal for Him to touch you.

Sometimes we need a lot of time to settle down and we have to work out to just be in front of his throne, but if you make this a part of your life. Will you slowly but surely experience more of God's presence and you will surely be transformed by Him, to convey even more of who He is in your everyday life.

The busyness is our greatest enemy and even now when we have to be on low gear socially, we can feel stress and busyness, therefore we must make a quality choice about living with God's resting heart rate on the inside and exercising at rest time with Him every day!

The most important thing is to be, not to do!
