Did you know that Ascension Day was celebrated long before they started celebrating the birth of Jesus? This day was seen as an important turning point in the story of Jesus as the Son of God.

I received a text message late one Saturday night recently. It was from my landlord. A picture of one of my tires, which was quite flat, and a text: "I think you have a flat on your right front tire. It's low on air."

Spoiler alert: He is back!!! The grave is empty!

It wasn't as easy to be Jesus anymore, and meet individuals the way he really wanted to. Not when the headlines got so big. "Everyone" wanted to deal with him. He became even more dependent on retreating to pray.

I'm brave? And strong? I can accept that God is with me everywhere I go. But to be able to call myself brave and strong?
