Since that time, there have been some eventful months for Saviours Home in Kiev. Lora received an inquiry from the joint Organization for the Protestant churches in Kiev with the offer to be ordained as a pastor. For, as they said, she is already serving with her husband as a pastor, and they would gladly acknowledge the service and give her formal ordination.
The organization has about daily visits either at home in the separate living room or at the center where a new orphanage will soon open. They run Bible School for the youngest children, children's Sunday School, teenage Club, women's group and church services. In addition, they engage several volunteers to follow up street children and visit the orphanages and social centers of the city.
In conjunction with the Christmas and New Year is always Saviours Home a lot around to delight institutions and social centers. This holiday season also received many visits with puppetry, Santa Claus with gifts and many exciting touches.
New car to Saviours Home
Yet another special novelty for us in women in networking: You might remember that we raised money for the new car to Saviours Home, the old Passaten was tired and should have actually been replaced for quite a while ago. But God has his timing, just before saviours Home was going to start up with his Christmas program, they got to buy an almost new (3 year old) Mitsubishi Pajero 7-seater (good room for 9 preparations Lora)! It has truly been a blessing in the winter, and has already transported adults and youngsters, sets, dolls, costumes, gifts, fruits and foods around to expectant children.

Total support for Saviours Home in 2009 has been 102.000 Kr. It consists of monthly transfers of approximately 6.000 KR, extra support for a fence around the property where they should set up a mission center, additional support for medications and vitamins in connection with the fact that Ukraine was so badly hit by searAnd some support for the visit to the Women's conference. We have 2 sponsor children in Kiev with a Norwegian sponsor today.
