We are facing a new autumn and the hope that this "corona age" is coming to an end is growing in many of us. We can now begin to participate in all the things that once gave us energy, joy, and recognition. The need and longing to both be and do something for each other and for God inspires us to get started. What about the hustle and bustle that once ruled our lives, do we want to return to it?

You are more important than the ministry, it is a truth that God wants us to remember and live by. His ranking will always be that we, you and I are first and foremost in relation to what we do for Him.

We are relational creatures, created in the image of God, with the purpose of living in communion with God, so that those around us can see who he is. Many church leaders express uncertainty about whether our services and activities will be prioritized after all these months where we have not had the opportunity for fellowship. I believe that many long for the community and want to return to their congregations, but also that many do not want to return to such a busy church life as they had before. It will be a challenge to find the right balance. The lack of community has made many people feel that we need small communities, where we can be close to each other and share life's ups and downs.

What we need and how we build the kingdom of God in the aftermath of the "corona age" is something we all have the opportunity to contribute to. You and I can be clear on what we now want to prioritize. We now have the opportunity not to go into the old track, but to stake out a new path. We have the opportunity to build small communities, ask for God's guidance and divine ideas. It is not just a way to do this, but let your longing for fellowship be a driving force in seeking God's guidance on how to participate.

Proverbs 4:23 Preserve your heart above all that is preserved, for life proceeds from it.
